DIY Eggshell Planters

Thursday, April 7, 2011

So excited to share this easy Easter DIY I made with Jess today. I saw a photo floating around on Pinterest with a link to Martha Stewart without a tutorial, and although it is the easiest project (not even needing a full tutorial), I had to do one :) The moss and succulents came from my yard and I just picked up the flowers at a local grocery store...

You only need these few things....

And you're done! Next step: Make 'em all pretty.

Please let me know if you try this! I would love to see what you create!

Happy Thursday. xx, megs

  5. Great project idea! I'm just wondering if these plants survive in the egg shell, or is this just a temporary display?

    1. Same here. I think succulents can last long and if you water them sparsely, drainage is not needed, but they will grow eventually.

  6. I would like to know the same thing. There are no holes for water drainage, so I am wondering how long they will look like this :)

  7. @Lrobin58 @Kylie: Succulents hardly need any water to survive. They kind of thrive on neglect so they would last a good chunk of time in the eggshells.
