Hello from the top of Volcán San Pedro

Saturday, December 1, 2012

Preview of our trip to Panachel and San Pedro, two towns on opposite shores of Lake Atitlán.
Kent is writing a few words to go with this full post. What I can tell you now is this: I can still barely walk because of this hike. And the boat ride back to Panachel from San Pedro (45 minutes) was the most (laughably) frightened I have ever been.

The last image is the view of the volcano from Panachel. The town San Pedro is tucked just to the bottom right of the volcano.

Feeling green

Sunday, November 25, 2012

Wanted to share some greenery from one of our favorite locations in Spokane: Manito Park. I recently came across these snapshots that were taken over a year ago and instantly fell in love with them again.

beginning of autumn

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Autumn began over a month ago here in Heber. This drive in the mountains is only minutes from Meg's parents' house and the scenery up here is spectacular. Yay for film!

Weekend in the Bitterroots

Sunday, July 15, 2012

In July we went on an awesome three night, three day backpacking trip in the Bitterroot National Forest with our good friends Adam and Ann.  Trekked over 35 miles, ate fresh trout, sledded down snow drifts, and got thoroughly lost.  During the entire trip we never saw another soul, made for a peaceful adventure.

Manito Park

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Last fall I was told about the beauty of Manito Park but it wasn't until yesterday that Kent saw it. We've been wanting to go for a while, but it has been so cold. Fortunately, yesterday was so lovely outside and almost everything was in bloom at the park. We were able to spend time in the Japanese Garden, Lilac Garden and Duncan Garden. Sooooo gorgeous! We had the digital and film camera's on hand and took turns with each.
